Plan Stage 1 · Basic information
Set up the matter once. The two parties — or a mediator on their behalf — enter the core information that every later stage and every report uses, starting with the parties themselves. Everything here can be added to or changed later.
Legal precedent (optional): choose whether this matter may show cited public statutes & case law as an objective reference. Off by default; either party can turn it on. Reference only — never interpreted.
How personal information is handled. Social Security numbers and full addresses are encrypted and used only for identity and required court fields. They are removed (redacted) from every comparison and report — those show neutral labels (Party A / Party B) and county only.
1 The parties
Party A
Party B
New York generally requires that a spouse has lived in the state for two continuous years (or one year with a New York connection). These dates record that basis.
2 Who is involved?
Is a mediator involved?
Will each party have a review attorney?

3 The matter
Jurisdiction is recorded as state + county (no court or venue — matters here are pre-filing). These fields populate the common header on every report.
4 Marriage & separation
Marriage certificate — stored securely, redacted downstream
Date of separation can matter for how assets are divided; it's recorded here and used on the Finances tab.
5 Children ages are used downstream; identity details are secured & redacted
Address history (last 5 years) — for the home-state (jurisdiction) record

Any existing orders (custody, parenting time, or support)?
6 Topics in scope
Add a topic
Topics defined here drive the whole pipeline. Each one becomes a category on Summarize, a working sub-tab on Resolution, and a section in the Memorandum of Understanding — so adding a topic flows through every later stage and nothing is missed.

JusticeX is a software platform — not a law firm or mediator. It provides objective, mathematical comparison (and optional public legal precedent) for reference only — no legal advice, interpretation, or argument guidance; the two parties reach their own agreed view. Full legal & UPL disclaimer. Synthetic demo — no real person, figure, or document.
